Two brothers are driven to extreme measures to save their ranch in West Texas. They hold up a bank. They are not practised in the art of robbery and things go from bad to worse. Cue wily old fox of a sheriff, Jeff Bridges, charged with hunting them down as his last job. Bridges is at his best as the ageing king of cool and Scottish director, MacKenzie turns in a taut and economical thriller which has more than passing resemblance to a contemporary Western.
